World Elite Mastercard (WEMC) is the top tier credit card for those with excellent credit, among other requirements--- depending on the card issuer.

Below are the companies that offer this card. In some cases, you cannot apply directly, you have to receive an invitation from the company. Or, in some case(s) you have to call the company to get an application, you cannot apply online. :

1. CITIBANK
a. Citi Thank You Prestige Card
https://creditcards.citi.com/cred...tige-card/

b. Citi Executive Aadvantage
https://creditcards.citi.com/cred...astercard/

2. AMERIPRISE FINANCIAL
http://banking-credit.ameriprise....ercard.asp

NOTE: This card has the lowest APR I have seen on a WEMC or any credit card for that matter--- it is only 6.24%. The next lowest I have seen is for a Visa Platinum card from Simmons First National Bank with an APR of 7.25%.
This card charges a foreign transaction fee, which most do. However, the Citibank WEMC do not charge a foreign transaction fee, neither does the JP Morgan Palladium VISA credit card.

3. SAKS FIFTH AVENUE
info:
https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/S...nefits.jsp

Note: The Saks card and MasterCard is operated by Capital One. It appears you must have a Saks Store Card account before applying for the World Elite MC.

4. BANK OF MONTREAL
http://www.bmo.com/home/personal/...mastercard

Note: Must be a resident of Canada.

5. MORGAN STANLEY SMITH BARNEY
http://fa.morganstanleyindividual...tSheet.pdf

Note: You must be an investment client with them in order to apply. You may contact them at 1 800 688 3462, and they have another 800 # in order to apply for the card, or email to worldcard@morganstanley.com .

The one below is NEW ! :

6. FIRST HAWAIIN BANK
https://www.fhb.com/creditcards.htm

Note: You must call 1 888 844 4444 to request an application be mailed to you for their World Elite MasterCard. You cannot apply online. Their card is called "Priority RewardsSM Premier World Elite [MasterCard) Credit Card" . This bank is a division of BNP Paribas (Banque National de Paris), which also owns Bank of the West and other companies.

UPDATE: You may also call direct at 1 808 643 CARD to apply. I would suggest getting a physical application although, just so you have a record and can make a copy before you send it off. I received the physical application in the U.S. Mail.

OTHER Top Tier Credit Cards, similar to the World Elite MasterCard:

Similar credit cards with other card issuers:

1. American Express Platinum Credit Card
(business or personal)

2. CHASE

J.P. Morgan (Chase) Palladium (VISA Signature) Credit Card

https://creditcards.chase.com/Cat...display=10

Note: You must call 1 877 626 5995. They will fax you an application which you must mail back. This card is made out of the metal Palladium.

3. American Express Centurion (Black) Card.

By invitation only.

4. The VISA Black Card (by Barlays Bank)

MORE:

The below credit cards you cannot apply for and are by invitation only. Basically, you must be super, super wealthy (LOL) :

Thank you! Rep'd. One more question, why would we want to use Chase's hotel/airline program? I thought those deals suck, meaning, aren't we better off to cash out first then use Priceline or Expedia to get better hotel/airline fare?
You can transfer UR points directly into hotel/airline programs, and redeem from there. i.e. 25,000 UR points can be transferred into 25,000 United Airlines miles, which can be redeemed for a free domestic roundtrip flight.

UPDATE on FIRST HAWAIIN BANK World Elite MasterCard (FHB):

1. I called FHB and the rep told me she would send an application to me in the mail (hope she did not misunderstand me and think I wanted to apply for the regular MasterCard. I repeated myself a couple times, emphasizing I wanted the World Elite MC application. The rep was very nice.

2. My friend called FHB and the rep said you could only apply if you receive an invitation to apply, such as from a bank customer service representative (CSR). [?]

We'll see what happens. UPDATE: I finally received the physical application in the U.S. mail.

I notice the annual fee is only $75 for the FHB WEMC, the lowest I have seen ever for a World Elite MC ! And it has a rewards/cash back program found at www.fhbrewards.com --note the website does not tell you the rewards for the fhb world elite mastercard since you cannot apply for that card online, but you do get more cashpoints or cash back--- you get %1.5 cashpoints for the WEMC, instead of the regular 1% for the standard mastercard. Note CitiBank gives you 1.3% cash back on their Citi ThankYou Prestige World Elite MasterCard but you have to pay an annual fee of $500. Citi has no foreign transaction fee, First Hawaiin Bank does (2.5%).

The Ameriprise WEMC is like $125 annual fee. Citibank $500 (prestige card) or $450 (Amer. Airlines Exec. Card).

Why do you need a world mastercard elite?

Palladium card is high networth and made out of palladium, but its benefits are like sapphire so blah.
Centurion card has a ridiculous annual fee, blah
Platinum Card is $450 a year but has almost exact same benefits as centurion. If you don't travel then you don't need platinum

Please let me know if you find any other banks (or companies) that offer a World Elite MasterCard (that I have not mentioned in the original post, as it is not published on the MasterCard website).

I am always looking for a better deal on this hard to get credit card (and its even harder to find out ALL the banks or companies that offer it).

Click the link on each of the offers above and it will answer your questions. Wink
a post that just has a bunch of links is a relatively useless post.. you need to actually put the important information in your post (like the annual fee of each card)

Am I the only one who thinks the OP may have a self esteem problem so when he busts out his fancy, shiny, high annual fee CCard he feels good about himself?

Good thread, not much info on most World Elite cards. Citi offers several but by invite only, the only two you can apply for are already mentioned. I love my World Elite MC, especially the silver logo and mine has an annual fee of $75. So I not only feel great using it, it doesn't cost me much either Wink

What WORLD ELITE MASTERCARD do you have?? (that you only pay $75 annual fee for?).

What bank or company did you get your world elite mastercard from?

I am happy to help slickdealers with this post, as slickdeals has also helped me a lot. Wink

You misunderstand, I was making the point you can have a World Elite without paying a high AF AND also feel great about it. Not because it says "World Elite" lol I happen to like my World Elite card for the benefits like airport lounge access, unlimited companion airline program, and various upgrade offers. It's worth it for me.

Citi TY Premier with the old $75 fee, I think it's $125 now.

I've never heard of anyone phrase benefits such that they "feel great using it." :eyeroll:

Regardless, I'm looking at the Citi TY Premier, and I see nothing about free airport lounge or unlimited companion airline tickets (just one ticket annual, with rates that I'm guessing are junk anyway). Unless I'm missing something, the benefits listed for $75 legacy or $125 AF card seems pointless compared to some AF-free cards. Unless, of course, you "feel great" paying $75 for some kind of perceived "prestige."

That is NOT a World Elite MasterCard, I had that card too when the fee was $95, and it is not a WEMC; The fee is now $125 and it is still not a WEMC. ONLY the Citi Thank You Prestige is a WEMC ($500 annual fee) or the Citi Aadvantage Executive Card WEMC ($450 annual fee) If you don't believe me see www.citicards.com or call them.
