it's kinda like comparing running on ice vs. concrete, where you would have a much better grip can the spikes be removed? yes, they screw in on most shoes but you should absolutely not buy these for off track use, they are not designed for that and you will get much better traction from regular running shoes also, some track shoes have built in additional spikes as well, which again, are not suitable for tarmac etc. |

Reading these posts...if you have to ask whether it's okay to use spikes on ___ terrain.....you probably don't need them. These track shoes have minimal support and would get damaged easily if you were to wear them as casual shoes w/out the spikes (and your feet would be really sore afterwards)
