Suppose this is a 'decent' deal for someone with a more than passing interest in the game. Having said that, Single player is a pretty poorly executed experience. Multiplayer is dead as the only servers I could find at the time were Euro based, but I'm sure that fluctuates. As a shooter fan myself who plays BF3 and the occasional CoD, there's no reason to branch out to this game on PC, even as a one-off experience.

Have the game on OnLive. The single player is very meh but I actually find the multiplayer enjoyable. Still play a couple of matches every now and then. It actually still has a decent following on OnLive, not sure how the PC community is though.

Instead of "blowing" $5 on this game, consider spending $5 on Metro 2033 which I noticed goes on sale this weekend in the Amazon thread. I know it's not the exact same kind of shooter (Metro is more of a survival/horror game), but I said earlier that lots of games go on sale for $5 all the time and Metro 2033 is a WAY better game than this one. Bioshock, Just Cause 2, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and Bulletstorm, are some that I often see for $5 or less. These are just some of the bigger titles right off the top of my head. There's also many indie and/or lesser known titles which blow this game away. I believe that they spent more money promoting this game than they actually did developing it!
EDIT: I just thought of a cool game which kind of slipped through the cracks: Medal of Honor [steampowered.com]. I grabbed it for $5 a while back (around the same time I got Homefront) and remember having a much better single player experience with it.
