Got this TV from Amazon with that bundle offer they had a couple months ago. They overcharged me and when I called to fix it, they ended up undercharging me. I paid $850 for the TV, 12 pairs of glasses, and the smart Blu-ray player (which I still haven't opened...) This is a good deal for a great TV. The 240 Hz is unnecessary since nothing uses this except if you turn on TruMotion, which I don't because I hate the soap opera effect. The magic remote works, but wish it had a few more dedicated buttons (like input and settings maybe, but it's not too difficult to just navigate using the little nav bar).

I got quoted $89 on squaretrade and $80 directly through LG.

Both are 3 year warranties, but when do they begin? I know amazon offered a 5 year warranty, but it was really 4 since it starts immediately versus after the 1 year manufacturer's warranty

Was that with a 30% off code for squaretrade?

Its 62.99 on squaretrade with a code. Just ask around for someone that isnt going to use theirs.

The price is great. but do people actually use the 3d part that often? I have a 3d tv I bought on sale. But never once tried the 3D feature, nor am I willing to shell out cash for the glasses.

OMG... I wish I had the spare cash right now. That is cheap for a 3D TV imo... A few years ago I bought a 40" Samsung for $1k and it is huge, bulky, and only 60hz.... Stick Out Tongue

Didn't know about the code...

Couple of things though - I called LG:

Positives
-Only 80 bucks
-Starts after the 1 year is over
-AMEX credit card (if you used it) will add 1 year after the extended warranty up to 5 years.. so you get 5 years instead of 2 (original plus amex's 1)

Cons
-They said that it is based on your purchase price, not retail if you need it replaced. They explained it like this:
You pay $800 for a 55" ( I was referencing yesterday's deal) which is around $1300 everywhere else. If it can't be fixed, they would replace it, but at the value you paid. So he said I would get either a 55" without the bells and whistles or a 46" with the extras...

Not sure how squaretrade works, but having my excellent tv replaced with something less isn't appealing....

Looking for some feedback on warranties from you guys...

Yes, this TV is passive 3D. I have two 3D TVs at home, one with Active 3D, one with Passive 3D. I like passive much better, it's less stressful on the eyes and the glasses are super light and comfortable. The active ones are ok but you can definitely tell there's some strain in your eyes. Some people have tried it at my house and get an instant headache with active 3D. Passive is ok.

Squaretrade would also refund you the value you paid at the most. But if it fails in a couple of years, that value might be enough for you to get a bigger and/or better TV as prices keep falling.

For this TV in the deal I didn't bother getting an extended warranty, it's price is low enough that 2 years (1 from LG, 1 from AMEX) is fine with me. In 2 years a TV like this will probably cost $300.

I got one with $150 PM = $850 Total. Now I changed my mind. Instead of cancelling order, I am willing to change the shipping to a fellow slickdealer for $850.

It is easier to steal a TV from a local store and hide between your legs. Go do it!

This is a great deal.

Did anyone check to see what they're selling the 55" 6700 for? I see that's final price at checkout too.
Its 1799 with no super sale and no free shipping. I want the 55 as well. Waiting to jump on it.
