Thanks. I was expecting the 69.99 listed on most of their ads for the CA stores. I'm only ~10 miles away so I don't mind that price.

It's quite likely they would charge the full $70 regardless of distance. Remember, it's first 30 miles "free," then an additional charge per mile.

Price is now back to $999! Amazon just price matched mine to $999 plus $50 for shipping they said they would need to consider. Stupid but still better then the price I would pay at frys with tax.

So here is what you do: Grand total will be $1049

Have this model tv ready in your cart @ Amazon.
Call Amazon's price match specialists @ 1-866-423-5355
Tell them you want to price match with Frys.. make sure you have a zip code ready @ Frys that has the tv in stock. I used 92123 (Doesn't matter if it is the same state as you or not!)
Amazon will add a shipping charge of $50 because the Fry's deal is pick up and Amazon says they have to ship (even though they usually have free shipping) But, there is no tax!

So, TV is $999 + $50 shipp = 1049!!!
Now if that's not a slick deal I don't know what is...

I tried twice and got denied both times because zip code 92123 wasn't within 60 miles of me. They told me they would price match if I shipped the TV to San Diego only.

In for one! PMed with Amazon for a total of $1049. Just about 50 miles away from Frys but too big for car plus $40 cheaper after getting tax free.
