in lieu of tax here in CA, $50 is better than about $90. so methinks it's upfront but fair. ask them to waive it though. squeaky wheel gets the oil

I went to local Frys to check this TV out in person, and man, why oh why did LG put a glossy screen on this line?? =(( seems awfully reflective if you have background light.

No luck in trying to take off the $50 too(i have a Frys close by). When i called and asked for the PM, the guy asked immediately if it is from Frys, and when he saw my cart he immediately know it is $999, so seems lots of people are calling in to PM this TV...

Best Buy price is $1.5k. When I purchased the TV I asked them to price match Fry's 1.3k. Then when I saw this deal yesterday I went back and asked them to adjust it again to $999.

LG is always about 30% below Samsung for the same range of TV

I think the market will pay more for a Samsung.....now there is a 50% difference I dont think the market will tolerate that...but 30% price difference all day long

just like Samsung plasma is a little less...generally 15% below Panasonics of the same level

most higher end LED's have glossy screens.....Sony being the odd ball

I called up Amazon, I didnt even had to give him the model# and he knew which model I was talking about as soon as I said Frys and Price match. He said they haven't yet decided whether to match it and they are thinking about it, He asked by tmw they should be able to tell whether they will price match or not.

How well does the automatic light sensor adjust to the room? How's the audio? Thinking about putting this in a small room that has little space for an audio receiver. Trying to figure out if I can get away with this kind of setup.

Yep, that's my biggest complaint.

score 1 in sear for $1028.36 after price match and 10% off the difference.
