I bought a new 370z last year, 2 months after graduation & starting my new job. I guess it feels more rewarding that way

If my son was thinking of buying that car, it would be very simple. U want it, u pay for it AND u pay for insurance for it. This is fully your responsibility.

I was in your position, and I bought a two seater car. I regretted it after 3 months. How are you going to lead any sort of active lifestyle with that type of car? Do you hunt, fish, move, play in a band, have friends, or do any type of hobbies that require moving things? Are you going to move in the future? A small car really puts limitations on you. I would buy a quad cab toyota, or atleast a sedan. I know you want to look cool but you will be an adult a lot longer the you will be a senior in college. Plus I can pick up chicks riding a bicycle. It's all in how you approach them. Just have to pull up, give em a little wink and a smile, then ride away. they will chase you.

I'm sure you can't keep the ladies away trying to pick them up on a bike. Just better let them know not to wear a dress on the first date cause she is riding on the peggs

What about something a bit more practical but still fun. Used 3 Series BMW, Infinity G35 4 door. The infinity is the same underpinnings as the Z, but a nicer interior and more space. Still the poor MPG, but insurance rates should be better, for when your parents finally decide its time to be an adult.

Make sure you know the ins and outs of various years of that car. Excessive oil consumption, worn synchros, etc etc. An 03 Z would not make the best DD unless you have some money set aside for repairs/maintenance.
