Canon rebel xs? help please

That's one of the lowest end SLRs that Canon makes, so you should be able to get a pretty good deal on it. Right now on craigslist and ebay the body only is selling for right around $200. The 18-55mm (which I assume is the IS version, but you'll want to double check that just in case) is worth about $75, and the 55-250mm is about $175. Filters are negligible. So that's about $450-500 if he parts everything out.

As a package, I'd say if he put all of that on ebay he'd probably get about $350-400 for everything, so base your offer on that and on how much you like the guy ;-)
