Lowest price for this awesome router AFAIK. The best I've owned to date, and highly recommended unless you want to go for the higher priced N66U. There are also the 802.11 ac models which are starting to come on the market, but not many devices support it.
@thinkfire, DD-WRT is not supported, but there is custom firmware available which a lot of people (including myself) have used with success. Check out http://code.google.com/p/rt-n56u/ |

Good price if you need one now...
This and the 66u are on my short list of deal alerts for routers. Personally it needs to go somewhat lower for me to pull the trigger. But yes this seems to be a great router...also doubles as a NAS with the usb port. Probably best bang for buck higher end consumer router. |

"The router scored 95.4Mbps for writing and 104.2Mbps for reading. While these numbers, as expected, are much lower than those of a dedicated NAS server, they are fast enough for casual backing up, data sharing, and media streaming." |

I am looking at getting this router, Linksys E3000 and just got (but not opened it yet) Belkin N750. Could anybody with experience compare these and let me know which one would be #1 choice, #2, and #3? I have a hard time deciding which one to get/keep. Thanks.

I have this router with the custom firmware. I also have a pogoplug with a hard drive and am wondering if using the pogoplug would offer better performance than if I were to plug the drive into the router. Thoughts? (The pogoplug and HD are still in the box so I haven't had time to test with).

Weird. I haven't been following any changes to networking tech in a while and just noticed the naming similarity... So, what's just with Asus, Belkin, Netgear all using the same 'N600' and similar (N300, etc) for their products??? I'm guessing it has some general meaning rather than just a weird coincidence?
