I'm looking for a 50"-55" HDTV for less than $1000.
I'm trying to find a deal on a nice HDTV for my main tv. I don't need 3d, but won't rule it out as long as it's passive. My 3 year old would break the active glasses... he already broke my last tv.
Anyway, I'd like to stay under $1000, but am willing to go a buck or two higher for the right tv. I have windows directly behind the viewing audience, so most plasmas are out unless they have a matte screen or glare filter. I'll be sitting about 6'(laying on the floor, lol)-12'(couch) away, but the room is wide so viewing angle should be decent.
I would like to mount it to the wall, and have a bracket, but I haven't ruled out a DLP. I was actually eyeing a Mitsubishi 73" DLP for $999 at Dell[dell.com](I get another 10% off with Discover). Power consumption may be an issue though, plus the whole bulb change after a couple years. This TV comes with Dell's extended 2 year warranty though.
Can anybody help me out here? I would appreciate any help in this matter.
I'm also looking for a tv. Between 50-60".I currently have a 50" Samsung dlp. Have had to change the bulb once and now is getting the white dots appearing on the screen. I would rather not get another dlp because of these reasons, but cash is a concern so ill keep it an option. Any help is appreciated.
