I just installed an SSD and I'm installing Windows 7 again. So much better, but you knew that already. Took about 5 minutes for a complete install off a USB drive. For anyone else interested, you have to remove the drive caddy completely and hang the drive in there. You could secure it with zip ties. There weren't any holes in the side of the caddy for the 3.5 adapter that came with my SSD. The included driver disk is a Godsend! Last edited by ovel2clock; 09-07-2012 at 03:27 PM.. |

Maybe someone can shed some light here. I got Windows 8 RP installed, and all the drivers from the CD. Right now I can't seem to get the TV working. I plugged in my HDMI cable that's coming from my Verizon DVR. When I turned the TV on, it's pitch black, and the right side buttons don't work except the TV power button. Windows Media Center can't detect any signal neither. Anyone experience this? I'm thinking the TV tuner that came with the CD isn't the right driver, and that particular driver isn't listed on Lenovo's website. thanks

Ok, so I thought I had bookmarked where to get the windows 8 download etc. but I can't seem to find it anymore and I have been searching on here and cannot find it either. I got in on this deal and wanted to load it on my new lenovo, not impressed with windows 7....
Edit: Also on the rebate, do I have to include that entire huge sticker on the side with all of the numbers and bar codes? I will need to use this box for taking the computer with me to different states throughout the year for my job. So having a huge hole in the side of the box will not be ideal. So has anyone taken advantage of the $15 upgrade to Windows 8? I've been looking forward to it and just ran the upgrade assistant now but several apps/features came back as not compatible with Win 8 with the display and bluetooth being the ones that concern me the most. Although the touch display on this all-in-one will work, it is not optimized for Win 8 since it doesn't support 5 simultaneous touchpoints. Not sure whether or not I should proceed with the upgrade.
