Just curious, but when you do refuse delivery on an order, are you charged with the return shipping fees?

Cons: Unreliable. Extremely slow warranty turn-around. Replaced drive with inferior product, replacement failed within a month.

My original drive ran for about a year. When it failed, I tried to use the "advance RMA" to replace it. They want to ask a few questions about the drive, but they will only ask 1 question a day, and it takes a day to receive responses.

It took close to 2 weeks to receive the initial replacement drive. When I got it, I found that the replacement drive had less capacity than my original drive (some googling showed this to be a common thread with OCZ RMA). After another round of 1-question per day, they agreed to send me a new replacement drive.

The second replacement drive was a different model than my original. My original was a Vertex drive. The replacement was an Agility drive (they replaced my top-line drive with a budget model). My Windows experience index dropped as a result -- the new drive is slower than my original.

About three weeks after I recieved that second replacement, it failed as well. All in all, it took me 6 weeks to get a replacement using "Advanced RMA", and then I received the budget model instead of my high-end model. The budget model died 3 weeks later.

I used to buy OCZ RAM, flash drives, etc. I will never purchase an OCZ product again. Hardware failures happen, but to top that off with worthless customer service, and with inferior replacement parts really closes out the game for me.

I really just want my money back. I will turn in another RMA because this should cost OCZ money. However, I will NOT use their drives in any capacity that is important. I simply don't have time to be recovering my machine once a month, and waiting a month and a half between replacement parts.

I don't put much stock in negative Amazon or Newegg reviews UNLESS there is a noticeable pattern. In this case, there are quite a few "died in 6 months/1 year/1.5 years". One of the reviews mentions a revision where they moved from 34nm NAND to 25nm NAND and this potentially being related to the bad reliability. Great price, but with this many people having the drive die, I'll pass.
