I don't put much stock in negative Amazon or Newegg reviews UNLESS there is a noticeable pattern. In this case, there are quite a few "died in 6 months/1 year/1.5 years". One of the reviews mentions a revision where they moved from 34nm NAND to 25nm NAND and this potentially being related to the bad reliability. Great price, but with this many people having the drive die, I'll pass.
This may save you a few dollars compared to the other SSD's, but in 6 months/1 year down the road when it dies, how much time and money are you going to spend to get a replacement and to reinstall/setup/reconfigure your OS? Add to that the fact that the data in the drive is unrecoverable when it dies... No thanks... I wouldn't use a OCZ SSD even if it was free. Not worth the headache.
