My DH was employed at a company as a "contractor." So he was considered self-employed in the eyes of the IRS and had to file a 1099 tax form.
Although he had to travel to different stores daily, unless it was: during work for work, it didn't count. In other words, commuting to or from work=no deductions. But travel for the company while on the clock, then, yes. Clear as mud?
