Planet Hollywood by far has the best atmosphere in terms of fun and party-like. Paris was nice too but less party-like and more relaxing (always blue skies in the casino) |

FYI: $20 Front Desk "TipTrick" will get you far here at Rio.

I just signed up for this and it worked. One question...what's the catch? I have never seen rooms this low anytime, and I stay here often. I don't really gamble though to be honest, just like getting away from home. How do these rates get soooo low. Does total rewards always send out promos like these? How do i find out when it happens again in the future?

For all the buffet lovers out there, don't forget about the Buffet of Buffets at Harrah's resorts in Vegas. For $45 after your Total Rewards discount, you get 24 hours to eat at all the Harrah's buffets, except the Rio seafood one. My wife and I just got back from Vegas and had a late dinner at PH, breakfast at Paris, lunch at PH again, and were going to do dinner at Rio, but we were just too tired after running around all day. Definitely worth it.

Actually, do it at Sam's Town. For the quality, I think the 3.50 I ended up paying for the breakfast buffet was too much.
The California has a pretty good graveyard prime rib meal. Cup of soup or unlimited salad bar, prime rib plus potato and veggies, dessert with a delicious crispy cookie-ish-thing. It used to be around 8$; I think it's 10$ now. I like The Orleans myself; 4.50 for a double cheeseburger and fries or a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. (Burger's weekday only, spaghetti is weekday graveyard.) They also have some nicely exploitable coupons if you stay there. Silverton has free wifi on the floor and supposedly serves Starbucks coffee. |
