This is strange, because it shows the full price for me on the Best Buy website but in the clearance section, it shows the clearance price of $257.99. When I went to my local Best Buy store to purchase it, it showed the clearance price in their system and i was able to purchase one at the clearance price. I had a $25 certificate which saved me more money. Just wondering if this is a good deal...

When the item is still available for purchase on the website then it's most likely not on nationwide clearance.

For example.. 4 stores nearby said available. I checked the clearance section of each store and the desktop isn't there, which means it's still full price at each of those stores.

Now on rare occasions the item will be available for purchase on the website (at the full price), but then when you check the clearance section of each available store they will all be at clearance price.

Now this is just the personal experience of someone who became a Premier Member from buying purely clearanced items, so take it for what it's worth.

I do think it's a pretty good deal for anyone who can manage to find it for $257. I am trying to get a desktop and new TV for my grandparents so they can get rid of the 10 year old POS computer and TV they have now. Unfortunately for me, I don't have any decently priced clearance desktops near me. And the asshole employees at Target decided to lie and buy the 39" Westinghouse TV ($190) for themselves.

This is showing at the clearance price by me but I am still trying to decide it I want to pull the trigger on this one. They have the one below for 317.99. Is it much better for the price?

I was able to purchase it for $244.64 out of the door with my $25 reward certificate. I will only be using the PC as a HTPC running XBMC. Just wondering if folks think it is powerful enough to stream 1080P movies over the network using XBMC...

You could wait til next Thursday and see if the price comes down ..but seems it's on SD now, it'll probably be gone by then

I'm hoping Lenovo Outlet has a decent deal on something, but the way it's been the past few weeks I really doubt it.

On clearance at my local store for $330.99.

Picked one up for a family member.

This took some work. I had to make a call to a local store which said it was available for this price but was not in stock for pickup. He forwarded me the number for online orders, because he could not make orders over the phone and the online site had a different price than the one the OP linked.

The representative had to call three stores to verify the price. One didn't have it in stock, one had it marked as a deleted item, and finally one of these stores confirmed it and the price-match was made. The total price was 280.36 after tax, from the 257.99 the OP had mentioned.

Worth it, I think.

I ended up getting one of these last week in Northern Virginia. Upgraded to 8gb of ram and put a low profile 7750 video card. Simple computer for gaming and computing for a poor college student. Repped.

For an HTPC the HD1000 iGPU is completely enough for 1080p, no need for a graphics card unless your doing some games that might need it.
