I had the procedure done about 3 years ago. When picking the place to go to, make sure it's with someone who has the latest technology and has a lot of experience. The procedure took about 5 minutes per eye, and I was out the door. I went to work the very next day. I was tired of wearing contacts all the time, and over time this procedure will be worth it, as I never have to buy contacts and contact solution ever again. Plus, not to mention, I never have to worry about my contacts getting dirt, falling out, sleeping in them, etc.
The place where I got it done, offered a lifetime guarantee that my eyes will remain 20/20. If they change over time, I can go back and get it fixed again for free. They measured my eyes and determined that I had plenty of thickness to get the procedure done multiple times over my lifetime, if necessary. Other friends had it done in the years before, and all reported good results. Nowadays, most good places use all laser lasik. There is no physical blade involved, so the margin of error is extremely slim. |
