Mastercard Promo Get 15% off Subscribe & Save products at Amazon

Amazing to me that this has as many thunbs up as it does. Seems to me that the products that are eligible are extremely limited. If Amazon says only products in certain categories are eligible, then all of the products in that category should be eligible, not only a select few. Worthless promo IMO

Just FYI and YMMV - I have 3 subscribed items that are due to ship in October, they all show a new price with the 15% discount. These are not the first shipment of the subscriptions, I wonder if Amazon actually will honor the 15% discount, in addition, my payment was the Amazon VISA, not MC.

I have been Amazon, eBay, and Newegg customer for around 12-15 years roughly. When Amazon Mom came out, Prime, and S&S, given I have (had, thank goodness for potty trianing) 2 young childred, all fo the serial and potart deals, etc., etc. I just checked my cancelled S&S list and have over 200, and I never let a single one of them go past that initial shipment. Never ONCE have I gotten an email or anything from Amazon complaining (and a bunch were 20%+ off because of Amazon MOM discount (5% more) + AZ coupon cutting ($1-$3) + those coupons they used to have in Parents magazine that were I think another $7-$10 off, been a while, don't remember), I felt like I was almost stealing diapers compared to normal bulk prices even at Walmart/Sams).

One thing I have noticed though, and it could be because I am assuming everyone does this, 15% S&S deals are far and few in between now vs. before it was standard, now 5% is standard, and Amazon Mom discount is limited now as well. But what do they expect, no way in hell am I gonna leave the subscription not knowing how much the next shipment would cost. If the S&S sub always shipped at the same price you did the first time, that would be a different ball game and I would have a bunch still active, but they will auto-charge and auto-ship at whatever the price happens to be at the time your sub is up for reship, and with Amazon pricing being like the stock market, screw that .

Yeson on future shipments they honor the 15% price, (or whatever S&S discount you ordered with), but the discount will be against the current price of the product vs. what you paid 6 months ago (or how ever long you set the sub to re-fill). If that changes, you will get a notification from them and have the option of cancelling the sub, at least that is how it used to work (for the subs I forgot to switch from the default 1 month and had 20% discount), so I had time to cancel before I was charged and it was shipped.

I comboed this discount with the coupon they had offered to save an additional 20% to get it down to $8.34 (conversely, my last order was $9.53 with S&S back in 4/2012).

I spent an hour on the phone with Amazon's customer service about this issue. While the CSRs are very friendly, they are totally clueless when it comes to details about the site. They tried to offer me a "one time exception" and give me the additional 10%, but I told them to fix the problem, not act like they're doing me a favor. I've also sent two e-mails with no response.
