I tried to do the AP trick but it would not let me send $1000 only $250. It kept saying that the other account is unable to receive the $1000. Can any one help with this?
"Edit My Account Settings" -> "View my account limits" to see limits

You'll probably need a verified bank account and/or credit card on both accounts

Avoid sending $1000 at once -- break it up into smaller 2-4 payments few days apart

I sent $999 at once without any problems. The transaction completed immediately. And the receiver withdrew the funds immediately.

Anyone who is using Amazon Payments, can you unload mastercard pre-paid cards into your account ? Any fee charged for doing so ? and, can you later on use the funds to pay for CC statements ? Thanks.
amazon pulls a hold of $1 then trys to authorize the remaining amount so if you try a 50 prepaid card and buy a 50 gift card on amazon it will not work. A $49 one will though, but then your stuck with $1 on your prepaid card.

My statement hasn't generated yet. I was surprise to see the cash back credit before the new statement generates. I'm still not sure how they come up with $182 when I thought the maximum was $75.

You need 2 AP accounts. Send money as goods and services. Add your Discover card to send money.

There is a $1,000 limit per month for RECEIVING Amazon Payments by credit card IN ADDITION TO and separate from a $1,000 limit per month for sending Amazon Payments by credit card. I would use Jatan's suggestion of breaking into smaller payments.

That said, I hope people don't abuse it and ruin it for the rest of us look around

Anyone know if bill pays count as an online purchase? I'm thinking if AP accounts work, then why wouldn't something like a cell phone bill paid online?

5% cash back is for online shopping -- paying a cell phone bill in not shopping =P

AP/Paypal count since those 2 can be used to shop online
