Anyone who is using Amazon Payments, can you unload mastercard pre-paid cards into your account ? Any fee charged for doing so ? and, can you later on use the funds to pay for CC statements ? Thanks.
amazon pulls a hold of $1 then trys to authorize the remaining amount so if you try a 50 prepaid card and buy a 50 gift card on amazon it will not work. A $49 one will though, but then your stuck with $1 on your prepaid card.
I tried to do the AP trick but it would not let me send $1000 only $250. It kept saying that the other account is unable to receive the $1000. Can any one help with this?
"Edit My Account Settings" -> "View my account limits" to see limits
You'll probably need a verified bank account and/or credit card on both accounts
Avoid sending $1000 at once -- break it up into smaller 2-4 payments few days apart
There is a $1,000 limit per month for RECEIVING Amazon Payments by credit card IN ADDITION TO and separate from a $1,000 limit per month for sending Amazon Payments by credit card. I would use Jatan's suggestion of breaking into smaller payments.
That said, I hope people don't abuse it and ruin it for the rest of us
