no offense but lapdock of the phone that is already outdated, even $50 is expensive. I understand you can mod for other phone but this should be cheaper

If you think about your everyday user, who is going to buy this? all Atrix users who wanted to buy this already did or they are looking forward for next phone. No one would really care for this lapdock.

Of course advanced users (like some here) would buy it since they can use it with Maxx etc.. it would be worth for them.

anyone with a droid razr, droid razr maxx, atrix 2, photon can use this without any modification using adapter cables. you can buy the "kit" directly from a4c (though currently oos) for $70, which includes adapter cables already, for those who do not want to buy the cables separately. i do not consider using adapter cables to be an "advanced" user, but you may call it that if you wish. still, to me at least, using the cables is very easy to do.

the ps3 has a full hdmi female port on the back. the lapdock has a micro hdmi male. so you need:

-micro hdmi female to female coupler (the one you posted before)
-micro hdmi male to full hdmi male (the one from my previous post)

I am aware of that but I already have an HDMI Cable that is plugged to the back of the PS3 - the other end of the HDMI cable will be plugged to this adapter instead of my flat screen t.v

Correct and I mentioned that people who are willing to do this.. would be worth it for them.

There are 3 HDMI types

Standard - Type A (most full size devices, tvs, your ps3, etc)
Mini - Type C
Micro - Type D (most current portable devices including the atrix, razr, photon, lapdock, etc)

The one you linked to was a female (type d) to female (type d). what you need, if you just wanted one adapter is female (type d) to female (type a).

since i can't find that, what you need then is what i stated above.

But where am I going to be plugging the type d to? The laptodock doesnt have any holes on it for me to plug this type d to.
I apologize but this thing is confusing, I was reading what the guy who had on his website posted as the required items - but here people are putting different things.

All I want to do is try to do it the cheapest way.
