Is $190 too high for 5 year .ORG domain name renewal?
My .ORG will be expiring soon. Network Solutions offer me $190 for 5 year renewal. I think it is too high. If I transfer to a new company, would it be cheaper? BTW, I tried to contact Network Solutions and they offer me $5 discount  So, please any help would be highly appreciated. |

$45.55 for 5 years with internet.bs [internetbs.net], which is the registrar I use.
I have degrees in both animal behaviorism and psychology and have come to the conclusion that animals make a hell of a lot more sense than people.

I'd go with Namecheap and I used to have Network Solutions for one client and moved them over to Namecheap for a great deal cheaper.

Network Solutions always has been a complete ripoff and you've been taken for a ride all these years. Transfer your domain now! I use namecheap, but it's entirely up to you.

 Anyone who switches to GD is quite ignorant/lazy as well, considering their reputation as both a webhost and registrar is horrendous amongst those in related industries. Virtually all of the feedback regarding GD on sites such as Webhostingtalk is extremely negative.

NetworkSolutions is the original name registrar, so yeah, they make a lot of money off of people that just never bother to move.
There are many, many CHEAPER options out there, but lots of discussion to be had about who is cheaper and still decent quality. Be selective & get recommendations (and yeah, avoid GoDaddy). |

Sorry for jacking this thread. When I renew my site for namecheap. It only allows me to renew for one year?? Transfer domain name from godaddy to namecheap. Godaddy charging me 15 per year.+
