So you believe if you only have $50 and your Neighbor has $100 then your neighbor should give you $25 so you both have the same amount of "power". i.e. jealousy of your neighbor for having more money than you , even though he may have worked long hours to get it than you.
Thanks for supporting my point.
I didn't support your point and your example has nothing to do with what I said.
The reason I am bringing up the lipid hypothesis and questioning what is "common knowledge" about fats is because what you believe about fats is simply not true. I know the low-fat mantra is repeated, over and over, and it sells plenty of pharmaceuticals designed to lower cholesterol but the lipid hypothesis has yet to be proven.
Could it be that what you believe about marijuana is also not true but based on the opinion of those who stand to gain from it being illegal? The war on drugs is big business and the main goal is not to reduce drug use but to increase the prison population and to restrict our freedoms. Yes, your freedoms too, even if you aren't a drug user.
That's a very cynical analysis.
Here's a less cynical analysis: companies like DuPont did not want the competition from a very cheap substance like hemp in the market for their synthetic polymer plastics.
And prohibition cops were fighting unemployment by creating a new boogyman substance which was mainly used by foreigners (Mexicans) who were taking Americans' jobs.
But what education is there to have on marijuana? There is none right? It is all good as you all have so convinced me that I can go out and do it all as much as I want and everyone else with no negtive ramifications at all. NONE.
There are no "dangers" because "yuk yuk CardEnclosed didn't provide a link".
Remember? There are no dangers. Unless of course you miraculously have come to your senses and realize that there are. If so please "educate" me (again) Are there dangers and what are they? It might help the other guy too since he doesn't know how to look at the pros and cons of a topic without someone holding his hand. Much less use google.
Should I hold off on my other plan and wait for said education now?
That's what's called a strawman. No one ever claimed that marijuana, cigarettes, alcohol or fats could be consumed in whatever quantities desired with no negative consequences. That's *your* inaccurate description. What actually happened was that others challenged you to prove evidence for your claims. As you were either unwilling or incapable of doing that, you instead chose to resort to a whole host of logical fallacies, including strawman arguments & ad hominems.
I'll ask again. What evidence or other substantiation for you claim that "alcohol directly leads to violence" do you have to offer?
