I have an Oral-B toothbrush that no longer holds much of a charge. I'm pretty sure inside are rechargeable AA batteries, and would love to put some fresh Eneloop batts in there. I tried to open it from the bottom but it wouldn't come out. They made it next to impossible so we'd have to buy new brushes every 2-3 years when the batteries have worn down.
Has anyone tried to replace batteries in their toothbrush? I'm asking seriously, so please no jokes. Thanks!
Find the manual it will probably contain a section like this:
Battery removal at the end of the product’s useful life
Open the handle as shown, remove the battery and dispose of it
according to local environmental regulations.
Caution! Opening the handle will destroy the appliance and
invalidate the warranty
So probably not possible. The batteries were removable and replaceable in oral-b products ~15 years ago, but not anymore.
It depends on the model. I have one of the higher end models and I know the batteries are replaceable in it.
I have the Professional 5000 model, which was the top-of-the-line back then. I wish I could put some fresh Eneloops in there; it would be so awesome. I love Eneloop batts! They just keep going and going.
