Slickdeals Contest Today Missing/Broken?

I can't seem to find a link on the front page...and that makes me a sad panda.

There isn't one for today.

i bumped them because they were falling off the last page.

It took me over an hour to finally find something about why the FP contest hasn't been running for a couple of days. Why wasn't some sort of an answer given on the FP about this, in the place where the contest usually appears? I still haven't found a good reason why it's not running.

We don't always have a giveaway. There's no need to announce it, as it is shown by the lack of a banner

It took me over an hour checking different forums trying to find out why there was no FP contest today or for that matter yesterday. Why wasn't information just given in the place where the contest is usually seen? I didn't know if it was my missing some notification or if it was done for a reason. Good or Bad? Anyway, I would still like to know the real reason.

I know there was no banner but new people such as my self don't always know this stuff and what it means until it happens, now I do. And now I also know that it isn't always run. I guess you need backers for that.

I thought when I started here, in either 2009 or 2010 that it was pretty regular that there wouldn't be a giveaway. Seemed like it was a lot more often that there wouldn't be one. Maybe I wasn't visiting as regularly then as I am now, though
