Deal is Dead!

Reminder: no referrals are allowed on this site.

deal is live now.

THE INSTRUCTIONS SEEMS SOMEWHAT CONVOLUTED. It seems you have 6 months from purchase to redeem the voucher at a store for a giftcard:
Print out your eGift
Find a store
Present your eGift printout to a barista
Celebrate with your favorite Starbucks treat
Reload your eGift and check your balance at participating Starbucks stores, or 1-800-782-7282. Your Starbucks Card eGift may only be used for making purchases at participating Starbucks stores. It cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law. Refunds can only be provided for unused eGifts with the original receipt. This eGift does not expire, nor does Starbucks charge fees. Complete terms and conditions available on our website. Use of this eGift constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Treat this eGift like Cash.

--This is up for debate--

It has been suggested that the mere act of "viewing" your voucher converts it from having a 6 month shelf life to being a Starbucks e-gift card, which do not have expiration dates. Furthermore, you can transfer it to a physical gift card through the smartphone app, or website.

To transfer via starbucks website, while on your card, click "Transfer Funds," Transfer To" then add the Card # and CSC.

Remember in California, any gift card worth less than $10 can be cashed out.

Starbucks is highly overpriced. Not sure why people pay them for their overpriced product, and a saving like this still doesn't do justice. Think of how much money you're giving them each year. It's better off making your own coffee.

When you get it 50% Off like this and then you further combine it with 50% Off or BOGO deals (ie the one curently between Target-Starbucks) it seems okay once in a while.

Has anyone in CA just cashed out a $10 gift card at starbuck's? I've only done it when I had less than $10 on it. Additionally, do they care if you make a purchase or can you just go in and cash out the card?
