Is the service on the iPhone bad? We are having lot of issues with the network on iPhone but not so much on S2. Which carrier are you switching to?

I can confirm the similar experience over the past few weeks on my wife's Samsung Galaxy Nexus, by the way. It's now almost every weekend that when she's gmailing the pictures they are not going out until she re-connects to wi-fi at home.

If anybody has any suggestions re: where to go, i'd appreciate that.

Regarding the deal, if you're not leaving straighttalk, another option would be to pay 125 for 3 months of service - this can be purchased at walmart.com - and no sales tax in CA!. That's a better saving.

Do they charge tax? Ive been paying month by month with fatwallet cashback. Haven't had big problem so far

Anyone know if any cashback sites work when you buy refill minutes from Straight Talk?

Can you take an unlocked phone (iphone or google galaxy nexus) to T-mobile or straight talk (Tracfone) and get on their prepaid plan without any additional fees?

I've had a iphone 4 on straight talk for 2 months now, so far so good. I constantly get 3 mb down, which is fast enough for me. i came from virgin who started great but got crappy fast.

i get my 45 cards no tax or fees through walmart using an oregon address.

so will the "Oregon no tax" gimmick. work with auto fill? and for those that have switched off Sprint, what have your experiences been? sprint service in my area has degraded big time in the last year....

Dont have to be unlocked. You can pick t-mobile sim and ATT sim.
Cost $15 to buy sim card.

Im using a Samsung Infuse with Att sim from ST. My service is also painfully slow.
I went to TMo store and they said they cant port ST phone #'s, you need to get new #...anyone hear of that before?

That sounds like BS to me, I would call Tmo directly and see....heck, I ported my number out of PagePlus to Virgen Mobile, then to Straight Talk, not that that really helps you

My speed tests give me between .46 and 2.11 MBPS, and I do get the occasional "HTTP error, unable to connect", maybe 5 days out of the year plus I have been with them.
Even so, the speed and reliability are like a billion times better than what I experienced with Virgin Mobile....and I get to use an iPhone!

Please tell me where I can go to use an iPhone, have it work just like if I were on ATT, and pay $45 a month w/o a contract...seriously, I am always looking for the better deal.

How did you get the text from Straight Talk? Did you sign up for texts from them or something? Just trying to find out some more info on this offer. Thanks.
