If you mean syncing an AMEX GC, it doesn't work like FrugalAsianMan said above

Yes, like OP wrote in the post I quoted, this would work if you bought a $50 Macy's gift card at Macy's. AMEX doesn't care what you buy from Macy's, as long as the statement says Macy's as the merchant name. I've bought plenty of gift cards from previous deals at vendors when I couldn't decide what I wanted but wanted to get in on the sync reward.

I used a $25 off $100 footlocker coupon and $20 off $100 Amex sync credit. Ended up having to purchase like $116 worth of stuff to get my total at $102 after taxes. Then after buying with my CC Amex showed i owed $82 |

i'm not getting the same deals so this is probably regional. i doubt it has anything to do with my likes on my profile cause everything listed is nothing i'd buy or spend my moonies on except for best buy.
