$550 is the going rate for the body right now. The real deals come if you buy from Adorama, B&H, etc. You can stack a bunch of useful deals. B&H for example:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pro...amera.html -Epson R2880 $300 rebate, so $250 for the badassest printer you can buy under $300. The visual arts department at my university used a similar model as their main printers. Click "Buy together and save" -Free Sandisk 16GB UHS-I card or decent Lowepro bag, which is about $20-$25, and are a useful free gift, unlike the usual "starter kit" with a crappy bag, a shitty set of filters, etc. -$100 for Lightroom 4, which is $50 off. This program, if you don't do much in-camera editing, will revolutionize your uploading and editing workflow. -$150 for 55-200mm VR or $250 for 55-300mm VR, I'd probably grab the 55-300mm unless you specifically want a smaller lens. -Micro-Nikkor 85mm for $430. Definite keeper lens. Those are the deals I would jump in on if I were buying a D5100 today. |
