I was way into getting a new kindle until it was reported about the dumb ads that people who already bought and paid for the device will be forced to view.
total failure. And if enough people start tweeting about how ads is a big turn off amazon would cave and remove them.

I agree that Amazon Kindle HD is a better deal on the hardware specs. And if you like to be in the amazon ecosystem, then the Kindle HD is not doubt better than the Nexus 7. But if you prefer the stock google experience along with the latest updates on the OS then the Nexus 7 is better. Both are very good. The specs is better on the kindle. The nexus has better software. It is hard to choose.

IMO, I think the 7'' Kindle HD and 8.9'' Kindle HD will be hot sellers. I would like to buy the 8.9'' when I have the money. The ipad 9.7'' is too heavy and the 7'' kindle is a little small. Maybe the 8.9'' kindle HD is the best for weight and size.

You can permanently remove the ads on the kindles for $15. As for how Apple will price the ipad mini, It will not be $250. We all know Apple, they will try to rip off everyone. I think the ipad mini will be priced at $400. For everyone that keeps on dreaming that the iPad mini will be under $300. Keep on dreaming.

Not a bad price to pay really but then again I don't think the ads are a nuisance because it only appears on a locked out screen. It is in no way obstructive of your reading or browsing experience plus the Special Offers are a plus.
