yes this rifle is a tack driver out of the box (well assuming you know how to zero the sights). With irons I was able to get about 0.5 inch group at ~25 yards. never put a scope on it yet so don't know any further.
Good news, I just got off the phone with Amazon and they said it was a price mistake. Whew, almost wasted my time ordering these. They thanked me for letting them know and they said they would take care of it immediately.
The problem with the 10/22 is that, besides being more expensive to start, you have to customize/tailor it to your liking (especially if you want it to have comparable accuracy to the Model 60), which will cost you even more money. Meanwhile, I'll stick with my Model 60, slap a $60 scope on it and have just as much fun, or more, and buy 2500 LR rounds with the extra cash.. Nothing against the Ruger, it's a great gun and if I could find the right deal at the right time, I'd probably get one for myself as well, but until then, I'll have to come down on the Marlin side. That said we usually end up shooting my dad's 39A Golden most of the day whether he brought his Ruger along or not.
