Stay at the Rio is you don't mind being 2 blocks west of the strip. They do have a shuttle 10am-1am if your not renting a car. Rooms are all suites, I was very impressed...and I paid $13 a night through totalrewards.com.

If you're a decent roller, one thing that a friend of mine does is cash in about ten thousand at once, play a few hands, then see if she can get a room for a few nights. It works quite well at off-strip locations where players with a bankroll like that are relatively uncommon. Also doesn't hurt that she looks like she's out spending Rich Daddy's money.

Rio is nice, but I'd do the Flamingo if you're looking to cheap out. Much nicer pool, newly renovated rooms, and the best location. Waiting for the shuttle sucks at the Rio. |

Dang, I need to come on here next time I plan a trip. Expedia was great last time I went, and I got 2 nights at Treasure Island, roundtrip airfare from Seattle, and a free buffet at TI for about $300. The buffet wasn't the best, but it was free.
