AFAIK, the change occurred soon after October 2011 when OfficeMax had the 1 cent case paper deal and advertised a dollar off coupon in the same ad.

I had a question for people who donate, do you try to do a tax deduction at the end of the year? I was thinking about going that route with the extra stuff that i get.. Any info would be helpful.. TIA

When using the FREEBAG coupon code (free bag with $150 purchase) to buy 1 cent items (after rewards), does the Bonus rewards amount get reduced by the value of the free bag?

Just curious since its technically a coupon.

To date, freebie item coupons have not reduced the bonus rewards payouts on net $0.01 after rewards and free after rewards items.

Several questions are required to answer your question about how long it takes rewards to post?

• Which item(s) were purchased (product name and SKU)?
• In-store or online?
• Purchase date?
• Shipped date (for online orders)?
• Shipped by OfficeMax or a third party (for online orders)?
• Has the basic transaction data for the purchase posted and if so, what is the "Post Date"?

Most of the time the system automatically awards the rewards. The rewards post as part of a two step process:

1. The basic transaction data generally posts several days after an in-store purchase or several days after an online order ships. It can take longer -- much longer -- if the order or part of the order is shipped by a third party.
2. The rewards generally post -- as a note in the "Rewards Earned" column -- several days after the basic transaction data posts.

While the system understands that purchases paid for with rewards earn bonus rewards, some MaxPerks customer service reps are under the impression that purchases paid for with rewards do not earn bonus rewards. Consequently, it is best to let the system award the rewards automatically and to only contact MaxPerks customer service when it has become apparent that the rewards are not going to be rewarded.

This might be a silly question, but how can these guys continue to post $0.01 deals every month if everyone can just roll the BonusReward$ from a given month into the next month's $0.01 deals?

A combination of manufacturer participation in the offers along with many non-SDer MaxPerks members unaware that rewards roll not to mention those non-SDer members that let the rewards expire without being used (sort of like the percentage of rebates that are never submitted).

Probably a typo i see limit 2 everywhere else in blue so its visible aswell

Thanks for the quick reply. As you can tell, I'm a little new here. Is it safe to load up on all $0.01 products and have $150+ bonus rewards coming? I guess my question is how often do High priced items hit the $0.01 sale?

I just don't want to get stuck with a $150 credit set to expire 3 months after purchase and have no deals to roll the points into.

Who knows what the future will bring. As for the past, the last couple of months of 2011 saw a plethora of bonus rewards offers.

I suggest never having more in rewards than you are willing to spend at OfficeMax in 90 days on non-bonus-rewards items. In the first four months of 2011 there were only four weeks with bonus rewards offers and in at least one of those the combined total of the offers did not reach the free shipping minimum.
