That being said, the 430 watt corsair is usually more than enough to run this card. What are the other components of your system? |

There are two different rebates for the same item: a $20 mail-in rebate [4myrebate.com], and a $10 mail-in rebate [4myrebate.com]. Each requires the original UPC.

Number Barcode label".... so one is original and one is a copy of the original. Should work... and different rebate #'s too. This is tempting, but I think the 550ti price should be right around here no rebate. |

As an alternative is the EVGA 550 Ti model on newegg, about $5 different when you factor in S/H

Phenom II X4(unlocked from dual core) @ 3.2 GHz Biostar A870U3 mobo PNY Optima 8GB DDR3 1333 Seagate Baracuda 500 GB 7200 rpm 5-6 USB peripherals (keyboard, mouse, speakers, external hdd, 360 controller, etc) Only currently using a Radeon 6570 at the moment because I knew nothing when I built this.

What would be a good step up card more suited for gaming. I read a lot of reviews like "does okay, but there are better cards for gaming". Any recommendations?
Or is this about as good as the bang/buck gets. |

It has more cores on the same GF114 base
I run the 460V2 w/ Intel C2D e3110, Green HDD with total draw of 160W max - the 460 has more cores and draws more wattage. adjust for higher spec CPU and you're still in the sweet spot

GTX 550 is kinda low end now, but perfect if you're a casual player that's going to play a game like League of Legends. Can also player newer games, but not at the highest settings if you want a smooth framerate
