What streaming device and service for me?

I updated my shark and now it is not seeing the MKV files anymore.
I also noticed some AVI files are saying they are now corrupted. I swear they had played before too.
Perhaps I should ditch this Windows Media player function thru the blu ray and use one of those others?

For now I am not even using a AVR....

EDIT: OK decided to try serviio.
FREAKING sweet so far. I had to change my blu ray profile to bravia 2012 and now it seems to play everything I throw at it. Even that 28gb MKV.

Will I be able to stream mkv avi etc with serviio transcoding off to the n200?

For 50mbps 26GB BR rip, your have to use a very strong wireless N and connect a ext. HDD directly to the Sony N200.

Yes, I'm do it right now over 54mbps wireless g to 2 tv sets and 3 pc. 720p MKV files are under 25mbps run fine. 50mpbs 1080p MKVs are unteachable over wireless g.
