Yea, I'm mildly intersted. But only mildly. I'm not much of a zoom lens fan. Plus more than twice the price of the 16mm, slower (if only by 2/3 of a stop), and physically bigger. And unknown if the wide angle and fisheye adapters will work with.

If my only lens, then yea. But why get a camera with interchangeable lenses and only get one? The convenience is nice. But I know I'm picking up the 50mm next. So it might fill for me.

tis true, having an ILC is pointless w/ 1 lens, lol. might as well get a RX100!
but wouldn't you pick up the 35mm f/1.8 instead of the 50mm?

I'll get them 50mm first,

1. The price is right and coming down and I'm sure the new 35 will be full retail for a bit.
2. I have a legacy (Nikon) lens that can get me thru at 35mm

And to be perfectly honest, I use the 18-55 more than I thought I would. I planned on dumping on CL, but with the new announcements, it isn't worth much. And is decent.

RX100? I guess that's an OK camera for the kids to play around with. Get a RX1 if you want a decent camera.

There were so many people that said the FF rumors were just bunk from some loser in Amsterdam. Even yesterday, people were saying they didn't buy it. It didn't seem kosher. I guess they are all eating crow tonight.

The RX100, the RX1, the A99 and the full frame NEX camcorder. Sony is making a full spread bid for supremency in every camera market.

My C3/ 18-55mm kit from Adorama was just dropped off ($250 "used", looks to be a demo as it has all the stickers on it and nothing else in the box was unwrapped) and I need to get a more travel-friendly lens. I had a NEX5 back in the day and had forgotten how disproportionately large the kit zoom was. Until I saw your post I was going to get the 16mm pancake in this deal, but that pancake zoom looks interesting.

As a side question, has anyone tried the Rokinon 8mm f/2.8?

GG Sony.. anyways, after further research (science!), the Fish Eye/Wide Angle Adapter doesn't use the 49mm thread to attach, it has a bayonet-style mount that only the 16mm has..
