No, Costco has specific coupon period/promotions in their coupon books for Mobil 1 specifically. It is like their coupon promo's for tires, one period it's for Bridgestone, the next it's for Michelin. I'm saying if you use common 5w-30 & 10w-30 Mobil 1, to just wait until Costco has the $9 off Mobil 1 again. You're not going to convince them to take the Shell or Chevron (regular conventional oil coupon on a case of 12 dino oil/not synthetic) for a case of 6 Mobil 1 its the same barcode for all coupons and the computer either takes it off or it does. It's coded for the Chevron or Shell & if they even call the manager over, their going to look at you like wtf? I think in the previous promo period, not the current August 16-Sept 9th Costco coupon book, they had Mobil 1 for $9 off a case of 6 making it $27. I stocked up for my S2000 back then since I bought a bunch of Purolator Pure Ones for $5 from Amazon, then Purolator had a rebate making them like $3/ea or something, & needed motor oil to go with that deal (to make it slicker lol). My older Honda/Acura's use 5w-30, & my never Honda/Acura's use 5w-20. The 2 Costco's I frequently visit (burbank & los feliz) only carry 5w-30 & 10w-30, but some people have reported seeing 5w-20 at their Costco's.
