Dehumidifier

Hi,

I am looking for 1 larger or 2 smaller dehumidifiers. Basement is 2000 sq feet so im not sure whats best. Any deals out there?

Dehumidifiers are one of those things where you get what you pay for. We have a DeLonghi 50 Pint from Costco and have been very happy with it. I would suggest you buy from Costco, regardless of which brand you get, simply because if there's a problem with it the Costco return policy is great. FYI, it will be a little noisy, not so much so that you can't hear the TV but loud enough that you might need to turn up the TV just a little bit.

Don't think buying two smaller ones would work any better than buying one big one for such a large area. I would try placing one large unit in the middle of the area. If that doesn't work then moving it from one end of the room to the other once a week or once every two weeks might be a better solution. They're heavy but not that heavy to move. I'm 5'2" and not very strong but can move ours out of the way when vacuuming with no problem.

Just looked at the Costco site, the 50 pint DeLonghi is $30 off if ordered by Sept. 9 and it has a timer so you can set it to run while you're asleep. Ours didn't have that, this is a newer version.
