How do Republicans/Conservatives plan to overcome the demographic tsunami?

At the end of day, this election while its going to be about competing philosophies is still about numbers. The republicans have a lot of things going against them. Namely, they are running against an incumbent president that despite what many of you think is still very popular among women (and not just women but white women), gays, young voters, blacks, hispanics. How do they plan to reach out to groups outside their traditional base. And what does this mean for the future of the party, that appears to be increasingly extreme and archaic?

This is why traditionalist conservatives like myself have been saying that the Republicans are doomed to lose in the long run, for not opposing severe restrictions on immigration. They have done everything they can to "reach out" to blacks and Hispanics, but the only way to get black and Hispanic votes is to become a liberal party.

That's what happens when you fill America up with a low skill, low income population with high illegitimacy rates that relies on government to provide for them.

Are you saying all blacks and Hispanics are low skill and low income groups? Why do you want severe restrictions on immigration, isn't that how this great country was created?

No, I am saying that blacks and Hispanics are disproportionately low skill and low income, and have disproportionate illegitimacy rates.

No, this great country was not created through immigration, and certainly not through mass, low skill, low IQ, non European immigration from the 3rd world.

I suggest the republicans pander to the masses, promise them lots of free gov't programs and benefits, tell them that it's not their fault they are not well off, tell them somebody else will pay, get them to become dependent on services, promise equal outcomes. Once the republicans get a majority of voters talked into the plan, victory in outcomes is guaranteed.

precisely...when the economy collapses because we have $120 Trillion [usdebtclock.org] in unfunded mandates due to a runaway welfare state, and because we can't keep borrowing almost half of what we spend as Obama is doing, there will be no more 'other people's money' for the democrats to buy votes with.

Once that happens, the democrats will lose the only tool they have (buying votes with other people's money). The Republicans do not have to do a thing to fight the demographics...the demographics work TO THEIR ADVANTAGE in the long term...once we get to where Greece or Spain are, the demographics will be irrelevant.

The conservatives are trying to keep us from becoming Greece, while Obama and the democrats are trying their best to get us there, completely blind to the fact that when that happens, they lose (along with everyone else in the country)

definitely not the first generation, coming from a country pre-brainwashed with socialism and statism...the hope is that later generations will gradually outgrow their ignorance.

However, once the economy collapses, there will no longer be such an economic incentive for those immigrants to come here...they will have to make do where they are...this was demonstrated after the 2008-2009 economic crash, where illegal immigration dropped significantly, and many even self-deported back to their countries due to lack of work.

Once the dems and socialists kill the golden goose and have no more access to stolen and borrowed money with which to buy votes, their reign of disinformation, lies, and brain washing propaganda will come to an end. People will have to work to eat, or otherwise starve to death, just as people did what they had to so during the Depression, where doctors and engineers picked strawberries and dug ditches if that is what they had to do to eat...there will be no more freebies from politicians as the democrats have made them accustomed to.

When that happens, do you think people will give a crap about the democrats' stance on gay marriage or abortion? Those will fall to irrelevancy when people are busy trying to stay alive and not starve to death.

We're fast approaching the point in time in America where nothing unites us --- not church, common culture, language, traditions, culture etc.

You can call it bigotry and xenophobia all you want, but it seems to be the elephant in the room that no liberals want to talk about. When conservatives do talk about it, liberals resort to name-calling.

I think more appropriate question is how can you reverse a tide of sentiment where the majority people want more out of government than they put in? I don't intend to extend this to the groups in the OP's question, though, but simply imply that this is the true nature of the R/D "tsunami".

Society cannot continue exist where a majority wills itself more and more from the government (who must take from the remainder of the population to do so); the system will collapse.

The Republicans will win white women by a solid margin. They will win married women by a solid margin. Both are already part of the GOP base.

many of the groups in the OP are historically Dem anyway - blacks (although i dont doubt that obama may have boosted it a tad), gays, young voters (who usually turn more conservative as they age and the "real world" sets in) and hispanics.
