You guys think that the included dongle might be the same on that LG's televisions use? Cause if so, the best price I have found for the dongle alone is $35, and this would make it a no brainer for me!

The Wi-Fi dongle comes with the BD640 by default. This is their budget WiFi model...I would think, though, that building the WiFi into the player would be cheaper than including a separate dongle. The good news is you can use a USB extension cable to relocate the WiFi dongle for better reception if necessary.

This WiFi dongle cannot be used on LG TVs (I've tried). LG TVs use the AN-WF100 instead. Only the BD640 and an LG Blu-Ray home theater system use the PW-DN427.

Yes the WiFi dongle sticks out from the front because there's no rear USB port. So if you ever want to watch content off of USB drive, you have to pull out the WiFi dongle.
