I ordered this TV and got it delivered this weekend to my house. Not a bad deal if you looking for a TV for a Bedroom. I got this for my kids room and they mainly play PS3 on it. The picture seems pretty decent for the price. Some of the reviews on Sams Club were mixed, but i found other sites reviewed it pretty good. I would recommend this TV for a bedroom or second TV.
Samsclub reviews rated it as 2.5/5. Not sure I'd trust it.
Note to self: NEVER buy anymore Samsung products, no matter how good the price is.
Why slickdeals is awesome: I post a deal, it gets reposted 30 minutes later. I report the repost, and slickdeals warns me for "not doing my own work" when all the new poster did was post incomplete info and add links an hour after they blatantly stole my post. Obviously, this is the right way to encourage me to post more deals.
I bought this TV on Black Friday 2 years ago from Target @ $299.
I never have any problem with this TV except for one that my son was playing Xbox for like 12 hours and the TV froze, I just removed wire from the Wall outlet and waited for 2 min and pluged back in everything worked fine.
I never had any DEAD PIXEL problem yet and I also got 3 year warranty from Target.
I say go for it check in Sams Club the TV before you take it home if there are dead pixels just tell the associate to get another one
Excellent TV. 2 were bought on black Friday as well for 299 and both are in excellent condition. Neither have dead pixels and quality is as good as my 46" Sony that cost me a 1700 (at the time). For 268 I could have about 6 and still have some money for a PS3.
I recall seeing a 5 star review on an LCD TV at Wal-Mart's site. The reason it got 5 stars? It was such a marvelous picture quality compared to their prior TV - a 1980's era Zenith CRT monster.
With that said I've researched various Westinghouse LCD TV's at different times. The prices are usually good to excellent for the core features (1080p, LCD, 40"+, etc.). Unfortunately, Westinghouse TV's have suffered significant reliability issues (TV stand snapping like a twig after 2 months) in addition to the typical LCD TV issues (dead pixels, fried inverter). What concerns me most with Westinghouse is the notoriously bad warranty run-around. Consumer Affairs - Complaints for Westinghouse[consumeraffairs.com]
Mediocre reliability or quality at a low price is one thing. Refusing to back your product is quite another.
