Now it forces me to pass up some of the bigger ticket items from Amazon

To be fair, Amazon should have been charging sales tax in the first place. Will I continue to take advantage while I can? Yes. I have a price tag on my principles, it seems.

I am wondering if I should jump on this or if the price will continue to tank. I mean, this set is based on a game that is bleeding subscibers.I mean, this started at $90 and has been creeping down every few weeks. I made the same gamble with The Black Pearl when it hit $70 (or so) that it would hold steady at that price, assuming demand would be low enough this long after the movies (and a mediocre showing of PotC4), but I misjudged. It is presently over $100, though I suspect when Amazon gets some back in stock again, it will return to something more reasonable.

$65 is certainly reasonable for this set given the number of pieces; I just prefer higher profile builds for display. Plus, I'm not terribly interested in the build, though I am a sucker for Star Wars ships. What I would really like to see is the Republic ship from SWTOR hit somewhere in the sub $35 range (I'll settle for sub $40). If I recall correctly, that one is between 300-350 pieces, hardly worth $45, given the more or less unknown minifigs.

Get used to it. I'm in NY and feel your pain, but "tax-free" shopping will end very, very soon.

Honestly, as much as I spend online it's a huge bummer, but in terms of areas they should look for increased revenue, this is one of them. If only they'd learn to spend it wisely.

Darth Malgus seems to be the highlight of this set according to the amazon reviews
