The Tiger one will use less power, but if all 4 cores were being used on the AMD one it might be a close rendering battle. (even thought the AMD one is a true dual core, clock for clock the intel one will be much faster). The best buy one does have more powerful graphics, but if you don't game then get the TD one (it is cheaper with cashback too!) I'd go with the intel one due to battery life and much faster 1 and 2 core processing speed.

Never had any issue with the company TD has hosting this rebate or TD rebates in general. Ivy bridge can utilize 1600MHz memory so that would be your best bet, but I'm 99% sure 1333MHz would work too, but I'd personally avoid it for the few bucks you save and the performance you lose in the integrated video card (by not being higher bandwidth)
