I've been thinking about replacing the jack some kind soul borrowed from the bed of my pickup truck and forgot to return.

Anybody used this jack? I've got a 2¼ ton portable, but they are really the absolute minimum, and don't have much lift. Seems to be the Model# 50139 [sears.com], but not sure and that page doesn't tell me much. Doesn't look like as much jack as the Chinese mfr one I got from a traveling tool show... and it cost less.

I bought this set last time it was on sale for about the same price. Excellent set for the price. It is not quite low profile as it doesn't directly fit under my car (911 4s) but the front cup lifts off giving it another 1.5 inches of clearance. Plenty of lift to lift up the front or back of my avalanche (both wheels at once). While craftsman may not be what it once was, when it comes to lifting a car I trust it more than any Chinese harbor freight stuff and for this price you can't beat it. If it makes you feel better I sold the creeper for $40 on craigslist. Makes the deal a bit cheaper.

-lol- same one I linked to... they do look the same, but the combo picture isn't that good. Anybody know?

They do specify the same minimum and maximum lift. Tried find shipping weights for the combo and that Model# 50139 jack for comparison, didn't find them.

Having bought from tool shows... at least Harbor Freight will be there the next weekend and probably refund or exchange. Return freight on a jack? Forget it.

Don't know about HF jacks specifically, never used one.

BTW, reading the one star reviews on the Model# 50139 jack will show you the value of testing after you buy. Smilie

Great price! I picked it up today, and it's interesting that I found a warehousing entry in my box, saying that the jack was made in Changshu Tongrun Auto Accessory Co. LTD in China, which is the largest jack manufacturer in the world. Hopefully it will be better than those HF jacks.

just picked up my order. a few comments:

1. BIG LETTERS on the side of the box say MADE IN CHINA
2. Creeper is a piece of junk. Instead of having a rail that runs completely from end to end, it is split in half which makes it wobbly.
3. Floor jack is okay. It is very heavy, thankfully it is on wheels, but does not roll all that smoothly
4. Jack stands seem to be the best thing in the box.

overall worth the $75 but that is about it. certainly not a "hot" deal.

i need something that can lift a 2010 F150, with regular 17" rims on it..

without having to add blocks of wood on the jack (which is unsafe)

not really commenting on the quality of this. seems alot like the newer craftsman stuff can be hit or miss. but regarding made in china... i wasnt sure if you could even find a non made in china jack. at this day and age i wouldnt think so but for insanely expensive made in usa tools i always look at snap on.... turns out $415.45 buys you a made in china jack. out of the 4 they offer only the top end $564.94 is made in the USA

just food for thought on expectations

My wife got me one for x-mas. I returned it hehe. I needed a low profile jack. Have a lowered car that the normal jacks would never clear and you get tired of using blocks, or double jacking lol. I ended spending more for a Pittsburgh 2-ton low profile, it's made in china but it's damn stout and it's got a high 23" saddle height.

Check the product page to find the max saddle height. Do you know the height you need to lift?

Picked this up for my brother about 1.5 years ago, Never had any issues. It's very heavy but never leaked like some reviews say. The creeper is garbage, had it fail on us once so far, the side rail completely bent over, replaced it within the 1 year warranty with the same one.

Paid $90 after cash back and coupons back then. $75 is a great deal for this set.
