Husqvarna 350BT 50.2cc 2-Cycle X-Torq Gas Powered 180 MPH Midsize Back Pack Blower is $243.89 - $20 promo at checkout = $ 223.89 shipped

Had my eye on this for awhile, typically $300 or more + tax

Realize this is not your average 25cc blower. Should be a fun leaf season for me Smilie

I'd rather get the Makita 4-cycle and not have to worry about mixing oil and gas. Then again, I'm lazy.

I just bought it online. With the $18.44 I had in points total came to $224.99. Just got Email saying it has shipped. I could have picked up at Richmond Hts store but why use the gas

Back at Amazon for $249, minus the $20 promo. Shipping in 3-5 weeks, although typically earlier based on my experience.

Bought mine on 09-15-2012. Estimated delivery is now Oct. 1st. Can't wait to blow my a-hole neighbor's mind w/this thing. He's always flaunting his fairly new zero turn $3k riding Toro lawnmower. Sure, it's a nice mower and all... but he doesn't have a backpack blower. At least my blower will be better than his crappy old Homelite noise making handheld blower. What a d*ck this guy is. I'm drooling thinking about his painful feeling of envy. I'm sure he'll buy one really soon after seeing me strut my stuff.

EEK!

By the way, I saved roughly a total of $91.00 ($70 off local retail price + 7% sales tax of $21) by taking advantage of this deal. I don't mind waiting around 2 1/2 weeks to save about 30% off pretty much any price you'll find for this same (non-refurbished) unit. Heck, even Amazon's price has gone back up to the lofty MSRP of $299.99 (although, you can still get the $20 discount, at least as of today, Tuesday 09-25-2012).

Assuming you aren't taxed, $280 is still better than $300 w/or w/out tax.

OFF TOPIC (sort of):

PS - Speaking of TAX: as I was thinking about how lucky I am to still not pay sales tax via Amazon purchases (except on items from sellers in my state), I decided to do a little research regarding those specific states who have been recently added to the "Amazon tax state list" or are about to. Trust me, I'm in GA and I'm quite grateful that us Georgians are still not taxed on Amazon purchases. My research yielded the following: here's a few bulleted lists for your reading pleasure:

Eight (8) states in which Amazon currently charges State sales tax:
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • New York
  • North Dakota
  • Washington
  • Texas: Began taxing July 1, 2012
  • Pennsylvania: Began taxing September 1, 2012
  • California: Began taxing September 15, 2012
Six (6) states in which Amazon will soon charge State sales tax (sorted by date):
  • New Jersey: Will begin taxing July 1, 2013
  • Virginia: Will begin taxing September 1, 2013
  • Indiana: Will begin taxing January 1, 2014
  • Nevada: Will begin taxing January 1, 2014
  • Tennessee: Will begin taxing January 1, 2014
  • South Carolina: Will begin taxing January1, 2016
And if you're really lucky to live in one of these states... what sales tax, you ask??

Five (5) States with no State Sales Tax (local sales taxes may be levied in some of these states listed, which varies by state):
  • Alaska
  • Delaware
  • Montana
  • New Hampshire
  • Oregon

So, thinking about buying this for 279 and tax but noticed Lowes, where I have a 10% off movers coupon has this one which looks stronger but is 150bt model vs this 350bt. Can anyone tell me why this one is better? The Torq thing?
