does anyone have any experiences with the 1000 and/or the 8850? the 8850 LOOKs better but im curious about the price drops. looking at the $65 special value bundle. is that a deal?

Been using Oral-B electric toothbrushes for ten years or so now. I typically will search eBay and Amazon (subscribe and save deals) for the brush heads. One of them usually has a good deal.

Pulled the trigger on the bundled 8850s. $73.85 shipped for two brushes is good enough for me.

What does it mean if it says retail only? Retail by definition means "the sale of goods to the public for use or consumption rather than for resale". So buying this only would classify as retail no? I mean, what other definition could they be referring to?

Ha! Walmart is a retailer, so buying from Walmart is a retail purchase. I'm not over thinking this too much.

I'd be very skeptical about the rebate. Definite YMMV imho.

WalMart sells the same product in other formats. Others mention the rebate. This particular one doesn't!

One clause in the rebate is "Offer cannot be combined with any other offer, including coupons.", the bonus white stirps ($37 value), could very well qualify as "other offer". Follow this link [walmart.com] to see where WalMart sells it for $55 (without the White Strips), but mentions the rebate.

That being said. You can get two of the "Oral B Professional Care 1000" with the White Strips for $65 ($32.50 each) here [walmart.com] (also no mention of the rebate).

Or get the "Oral B Professional Care 1000" with three Power Toothbrush Refill Brush Heads for $64 ($44 after $20 rebate) here [walmart.com]
