I will vouch for this thing all damn day... You don't have any idea how much crap is on your ground until you own Neato.
If you're on the fence go for it. This is the best robot by far. Plus Neato customer service is the best. I have wood floors throughout my home with two dogs and this thing does a great job picking up all their hair. The only place it doesn't do a great job is in corners and obviously where it can't reach.
I will say this, if you're worried about getting this because of Rooma maintenance, don't let that dissuade you. I had a Roomba and that thing sucked (bad pun fully intended). It required so much cleaning that I was spending more time taking it apart to clean out hair and stuff than if I had just quickly used a vacuum.
My old roommate had a neato for our apartment and he never cleaned it. I remember finally looking at it after about 2 months of cleaning (no idea how long it was being used for before that) after cleaning roughly 3x/week, and there was a small amount of hair wrapped around it. It was nothing as bad as the roomba used to be after even just one run.
Is this better than the Neato xv-14 from Costco, which is also $299.99. I assume this is a newer model but is it significantly better since the Costco one comes with extra replacement parts.
I believe they are more or less the same, the only difference is this one has the newer 'pet/allergy' brush and filter, whereas the Costco one has a different set of brushes/filter (and more of them) as well as a different paint scheme.
Keep in mind tax (for me) was $22 on the Costco Neato, as well as a $15 membership fee (since I don't have a membership). Made that Neato $337, although I believe Costco extends the warranty to two years and it may also qualify for lifetime returns?
Anyways, I bought this one because I wanted the pet/allergy kit and that's a $60 add-on to the older models.
They all come with those replacement parts.
Can anyone confirm this? It sounds like the XV-21 just comes with 1 set (1 filter, 1 bristle brush, 1 beater brush), whereas the Costco one comes with several brushes and filters.

The xv-21 is an upgraded version. New brush design and better filter. If your going to get one this is the one you want.
Are you sure they all come with the replacement parts? On Woot it lists that the XV-21 only comes with 1 set of each add-on. I guess the draw for me is that Costco also offers a much better return/replacement policy to Woot, which if I'm reading their FAQ right offers none and asks you to contact the manufacturer. However, on the other hand, I do want the newer model.
