Tojiro Knives

A friend recommended the DP/Zen series she gaveaway her old set and since went with Shun reserve. She said they are good Japanese knives for the money she used to be a chef and worked in the restaurant business for several years. I wanted to know what other peoples opinions these knives. I have Wusthof, Henckel, Shun and Global I'm just starting with my collection. Feel free to suggest any other brand and I don't mind paying extra for a knife that will last.
