any chance someone could recommend a low profile GPU to go along with this? Would this make an alright HTPC?

Oh, also, does it support booting off of USB -- as to install windows or other oses from a USB device?

what's the maximum number of 3.5HD it can take? Will it take 5 HD drives? Does it have enough SATA and power cables for it? How about external SATA option? For $150, it's cheap.

My only concert is its PSU. Is it standard? My HP EX475 just died, I don't want to spend a lot to get a new PSU. It'll be around $80 or so. I might end up building a server by myself.

Yes, it will boot off USB. I did exactly this with an external DVD drive to boot Ubuntu and install. Didn't even have to change a BIOS setting.

Would this be alright to run multiple game servers off of? IE Minecraft, Counter-Strike, Battlefield, etc

I have a fanless low-profile Nvidia GT-520 card in the exact same system. Works great in Ubuntu for playing back 1080p video, with audio over HDMI to my TV, once you disable the nouveau driver and also the "Composite" extension in xorg.conf.

I bought the Gigabyte version [newegg.com] when it was on sale for $25 AR.

1. Is the PSU standard ATX format? I hope yes.
2. Does it take non-ECC RAM? I guess yes.
3. Does it come with any eSATA bracket? I guess no.
4. To install 4 HDs, do I need to buy any extra accessories? I hope no.

1. no. It could be proprietary or pico atx
2. Yes. I am running 16GB corsair. somebody has 32GB running on his.
3. No. you can find those for $5 on amazon. low-profile.
4. you will need one 3.5 to 5" hdd and an extra sata cable.

thanks, I have all extra stuffs, my only concern is the PSU. They charge ridiculously on the server PSU. likely in $100.
