I'm assuming these are the same as those 1200 thread count "Egyptian cotton" scams that you see at your local street fairs.

Yep, these are partially synthetic and the thread count is almost certainly highly inflated. I'm guessing instead of actually listing the thread count, they're counting each thread in a twisted yarn as individual threads. One ply as well. These look to be identical to those low-quality Egyptian cotton sheet scams, minus the actual "Egyptian cotton" labeling.

I really want some nice blue sheets. What would you recommend? You seem to have some experience here.

The Moonstone Color is a really nice light blue in real life (own it) @ The Company Store [thecompanystore.com]

People also seem to like the budget friendly Egyptian Cotton @ Overstock [overstock.com]

No problem. Good sheets will last decades if you take care of them so it’s okay to spend some extra $$$ on them.

Since you’re looking at Egyptian Cotton, here’s some things to look out for:

(1) Be skeptical of places that sell over 500 TC for very cheap.
(2) Blending with other, cheaper material (like in this thread)
(3) Multi ply – it’s technically legal to advertise lower quality 2-ply 600 TC as 1200 TC.
(4) Egyptian “Comfort” – they leave out the word cotton because it’s not the real deal.

If you find good stuff, even 300 TC can be very soft and nice. Other good / soft fabrics include:

(1) Organic Cotton
(2) Supima / Pima Cotton (Basically a US version of Egyptian Cotton)
(3) Linen
(4) Bamboo Fiber

Great Brands / Stores for quality bedding include:

(1) The Company Store
(2) Cuddledown
(3) Garnet Hill
(4) Frette (Italian – crazy expensive)
(5) Overstock (some good stuff, might need to dig through and research though)

I took a look over on the mfg's website, they're for sale for $120 a set.
They have a few reviews claiming to be people that are really liking the sheets. It's hard to tell if they are genuine, but, they are not obviously faked.
Kourtney Allison Platinum Collection [jklinens.com]
It looks like Eversave has 1750 sold so far, that's going to be a whole lot of people if they turn out to be scam sheets.
I need some sheets, i'm tempted. would be nice to get lucky.

JK Linens is proud to introduce our new line Kourtney Allison 1200 Thread Count Bed Sheets

JK linens announces our first product in our Kourtney Allison Platinum Collection 1200 Thread Count Bed Sheets. They are sold as a set which includes one fitted sheet, one flat sheet, and four pillow cases. We warranty these sheets for five years against any manufacturer defects, which allows our distributors to absolutely stand behind the product 100%. We are a new company with a New brand that is new to the bed sheet market. Our goal is to be able to offer the highest quality set of bed sheets in the Market. If you been selling bed sheets for awhile now then you know the hurdles that go along with selling the product the biggest hurdle being the quality of the product. Imagine being able to go to your events and sell and not have to worry about your customers calling you back because they are not happy with the quality, or even worse not being invited back to do the event again because the quality of the product. Imagine being able to tell your customers that these bedsheets have a five year warranty and actually being backed up by your supplier. Imagine your customers calling you back and wanting to order more sheets from you. That is what JK Linens is commited too we are absolutely dedicated to changing the bed sheet market with the first step being a quality product. The other way JK Linens is changing the bed sheet market is the programs we have put in place that helps our distributors succeed in their businesses one being able to order by color, which none of our competition offers. Which basically mean you are able to order one color in a case per size instead of having to buy 12 colors in one case which means you are able to open websites and take orders and only order the colors you need. We are looking for distributors in your area pricing as low as $11.00 a set

These are also being sold on eBay for ~$30 shipped. JK Linens appears to be the only distributor, and is also selling them in bulk for $11 a set on Alibaba. This is honestly not a deal at all, even if the product turns out to be decent. And if they're dumping these at $11 a set and still turning a profit, there's no possible way these are anything but junk. Reviews have got to be fake, given the circumstances.

I just stumbled upon this and am thinking the same thing. Not worth $39 they are asking for it. I am looking for something that is 100% cotton, so the 15% microfiber kills it for me. And in addition to that, sheet sets that are 100% cotton start at around $60-$70 bucks and go upward as the quality goes up.

*sigh* I'll have to continue looking. Found a great deal a year or so ago on smartbargains. I will have to look there.

ha, i've been looking for a deal since my smartbargain sheets are on their last legs too!! seems like SB doesn't do sheet sets that cheap anymore as I've been looking for months. I think I'll bite the bullet and go to company store or RL--somewhere reputable
