Kindle offer $10 GC for using Discover card

Call Amazon customer service and ask if they can opt you in for this deal. They did it for me. - Rockalittle (see page 5 post #62)
If you have the regular Kindle without special offers you can always OPT-IN. Go to Manage your Devices on your Amazon account. When you see your device, click on the minus button to expand, then on the column under Special Offers, click Edit and click Subscribe. Click Email me this offer. Amazon will send this Discover offer to the email address associated with that Kindle Keyboard in a few minutes.
If you have a GC balance on your Amazon account you need to get it locked to use your Discover instead for the 1-click:
I called Kindle Customer Service 1-866-321-8851 and selected option 1 (payment settings). The rep asked for my email address and put the gift card balance on hold while I made my purchase of the book I had in an open window. I verified the purchase went to Discover and then asked her to release the gift card balance and checked to make sure it was released. Everything took only about a minute.
